I had the pleasure of managing Nihar when was an integrations Product Manager at Dialpad. He has a broad skill and is able to develop a coherent strategic roadmap, communicate effectively with customers and ensure precise and speedy execution deliverables meeting both company long term objectives while balancing customer commits. I worked with Nihar across two different teams. He’s easily one of the most organized PMs I’ve worked with. Instead of vague high-level roadmaps, he lays out realistic two-year plans that are actually workable and grounded in thorough customer interviews and competitive analysis.

On day-to-day execution, he genuinely understands engineering and design trade-offs, which makes collaborating with him straightforward and productive. He keeps a sharp eye on team velocity, especially with finding practical ways to leverage AI to help us move faster. Some managers drain the energy out of you, while others put you in a box and hand out instructions without explaining the reasoning behind them. Nihar is neither. He is transparent, genuine, straightforward, and, most importantly, very approachable.

I worked with him for a year and had the opportunity to see him take on more and more responsibilities within the organisation. He has a knack for writing detailed product specifications, building roadmaps, and anticipating problems well before they arise.

One of the most important qualities of a good manager is the ability to communicate the expected outcomes of a task and explain its importance before assigning it to someone. Nihar does this exceptionally well. He makes sure you understand the bigger picture and the value of your contribution. As a result, I felt excited to work with him every single day.

I had the opportunity to work with Nihar when Idera acquired FusionCharts. He's an extremely talented product manager who goes above and beyond to ensure product success. Nihar is an easily approachable, down to earth techie who will be an asset to any organization he joins. Whether it be explaining a technical issue, or recommending new initiatives, Nihar went the whole nine yards and was always willing to help.
